Cave crave, the VR caving game from 3R Games, will receive an early access multiplayer mode on Meta Quest on April 9, 2026. The studio has not yet confirmed a simultaneous rollout for the game's existing SteamVR and PlayStation VR2 versions; platform decisions beyond Meta Quest will be announced at a later date.

Players descend into a cave together in co-op mode
The co-op mode lets up to multiple players explore caves together, crawling through tight passages, descending on ropes, and navigating without a map. Players must mark their route with chalk and manage flashlight battery life to find their way back out.

Confirmed real-world cave recreations for the multiplayer mode include the already-available replica of Utah's flooded cave system known as the "nutty putty" cave, and the in-development recreation of Thailand's tham luang cave. Additional locations are planned but not yet detailed.
A teaser trailer for the multiplayer mode is available to watch on YouTube.
Cave crave is currently available on Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2, and SteamVR. A standalone non-VR Steam version is also planned.
