FlatOut 4 VR enters Steam Early Access on April 23, 2026. The title is a VR adaptation of FlatOut 4: Total insanity, developed by creator-collaborator known as NoMoreFlat (also known as NoMoreFlat), and published under the newly formed flat2VR Studios label, flat2VR spark.

The adaptation includes the original game's classic racing events, arena battles, stunt mode, and multiplayer. Technical additions specific to the VR version include full 6DOF support, cockpit-first play, VR-specific UI and controls, and NVidia's Deep Learning Super-sampling (dlss) for improved image clarity and performance. Vehicle interiors were also updated to support close-up cockpit play, as the original game was not built around a first-person driving perspective.

FlatOut 4 VR is the first title released through flat2VR spark, a secondary development lane within flat2VR Studios. The label is designed to pair external creators with official publishing support, QA, compliance, storefront operations, and platform expertise to bring licensed VR adaptations to market. The developer, mutar, provided the project-specific technical work needed to port the game into its custom engine.
