Horror is the genre VR most fundamentally changes. A jumpscare on a flat screen is content; a jumpscare in a headset is an event. We score for atmosphere, restraint, mechanical horror beyond the loud noise, and how well the game handles the comfort knife-edge between presence and bail-out.
