Resolution Games has released a free anniversary fishing set for Bait! and confirmed a mixed reality mode with hand tracking and passthrough is arriving later in 2026.

Bait!, Resolution Games' VR fishing title, turns 10 years old today. The Stockholm studio has pushed a free Anniversary Update to the game on the Meta Horizon Store, and announced that a mixed reality mode with hand tracking and passthrough support is in development for a 2026 release.
Players who launch the game will receive a notification directing them to Penguin Point, where the in-game Vend-o-Matic dispenses a free "10 Year Anniversary" rod, reel, and bobber set. No purchase is required to claim the items.

A paid "Synthwave" fishing set is also now available as an in-app purchase through Jim Bob's Shop. The set includes a rod, reel, and bobber styled with retro neon colors.

The upcoming mixed reality mode will place in-game fishing into the player's physical environment using passthrough and hand tracking. Resolution Games says the feature is still in development and has not given a specific release window beyond "later this year."
Bait! is available on the Meta Horizon Store. More information about Resolution Games is at resolutiongames.com.
