BlackGate, an asymmetric multiplayer sci-fi horror game developed by Fun Train in collaboration with VRMonkey LTD and Megaverse LLC, exits Early Access on Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3 on January 8, 2026. The full-release price is set at $19.99.
The game is set aboard an orbital research station and puts a team of four astronauts against a single evolving alien predator in zero-gravity environments. The structure is 4v1 asymmetric multiplayer, drawing comparisons to Echo Arena's movement system, Among Us's social deduction, and Dead by Daylight's asymmetric horror format.
BlackGate uses a free-to-play model for the astronaut role, with a premium upgrade required to access the alien role. Fun Train reports the game reached 3,500 daily active users during its Early Access period, sustained through live updates, balance changes, and community feedback.
