Plasmaborne, a single-player VR roguelike shooter from debut studio CyberSnake-X, exits Early Access on March 24, 2026 at 7:00 PM CET. The launch coincides with the VR Games Showcase pre-show. It is available on Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3 at a launch price of $9.99.
The game features dual-wield combat, per-run build construction through upgrades and passives, and a set of handcrafted arenas — no procedurally generated levels. Each run ends in death or progression, with unlocks carrying forward between attempts.
The original soundtrack was composed, performed, and recorded by Alex Stjernfeldt, known for his work in Swedish metal acts Novarupta, Grand Cadaver, and The Moth Gatherer. Mastering was handled by Karl Daniel Lidén. A vinyl edition of the soundtrack is available for pre-order on FairSound starting March 23, and the album can also be streamed online.
