WRATH: Aeon of Ruin VR - Brutal Edition launches April 9, 2026 on Meta Quest, SteamVR, and PlayStation VR2. The title was announced during the VR Games Showcase on March 24, 2026. No price has been announced.
The port is a collaboration between Team Beef and Flat2VR Studios. Team Beef, known for VR adaptations of titles including Quake, Doom 3, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, rebuilt WRATH from the ground up for VR rather than performing a straight conversion. The Brutal Edition label reflects a broad pass of fixes, balance changes, and polish informed by community feedback.

Close-range combat in WRATH VR Brutal Edition
Combat is designed around continuous movement. Players can dual wield weapons or use a two-handed grip for tighter recoil control and access to alternate fire modes. A slide mechanic preserves momentum through tight spaces, and a blade dash allows repositioning while keeping enemies in view. Artifacts are physical 3D objects that can be thrown, broken, or deployed mid-fight. Flick reloads and a hand-based UI keep interactions inside the world.
